5 Fun Things You Can Finally Do After Lockdown

5 Fun Things You Can Finally Do After Lockdown

Coronavirus sure did put a dampener on our summer plans but lucky for us, there has been significant ease in restrictions. As the country returns to normal, many shops, restaurants, pubs and leisure facilities are gradually reopening. This means it’s time for us to start planning for all things fun and play catch up with missed opportunities.

You need a headstart for all the entertainment and enjoyment that’s to be had and at Avalanche Adventure we are here to help.

We have put together a list of 5 fun things you can finally do post-pandemic so let’s dive in and see what’s in store!

1. Book Some Fun Outdoor Activities

Make the most of the ease in lockdown and plan for a day out at our activity centre! Race through the muddy trails sat atop our quad bikes, or blow some steam off with clay pigeon shooting. If you fancy a bumpy ride then hop in our Land Rover as you indulge in our action-packed off-road driving experience.

Visit our activity centre ready to have fun as you drive through the muddy terrain and get your adrenaline pumping. Why not make a weekend out of it with your family and friends as you celebrate being outdoors?

2. Go Mountain Hiking

With its rocky landscape and scenic climbs, the UK is home to hills and mountains suitable for every type of adventurer.

To make the most of our beautiful topography, the National Trust has put together a series of trekking routes for explorers to soak in the best of what nature has to offer. Sign up for one of these expeditions and challenge yourself to hike across lush mountainous terrain.

Be sure to use a compass and a map for navigation and check for weather conditions before you begin.

3. Go Camping

Due to social distancing, many music festivals have either been cancelled or postponed which means that the outdoor trip you’ve been really looking forward to may not be happening until 2021. While being wedged in a crowd is probably not a good idea at the moment, you can still enjoy doing fun things outdoors after weeks of being cooped up at home.

Why not dig out your tent and go camping? If you are new to this, ensure that you plan for all types of weather and make sure to invest in a quality sleeping bag to ensure a pleasant night’s sleep.

A simpler alternative will be to book a camping weekend with a twist with Avalanche Adventure. We have suitable arrangements in place to help you make the most of the warm summer weather so go ahead and book yourself in

4. Prepare to Run a Marathon

Running a marathon is on the bucket list of every beginner and veteran runner. Training for a marathon can be tasking, especially for beginners, but there are so many applications out there that can help you achieve your goal.

Use this time to get moving and training hard so you can strike this off your bucket list. Ensure that you jog and train daily to stay fit as you prepare to take on those miles!

5. Enjoy an Outdoor Dip

Go for a swim in the open waters to make the most of doing fun things outdoors. The Outdoor Swimming Society has compiled a list of beautiful locations along with safety tips to ensure you have a good time.
