5 Great Activities You Should Try This Winter

If you love winter, you love the chance to cosy up on your couch watching your favourite Netflix series with autumn activities and summer fun behind you!

However, as we all know, 2020 has been like no other which means things are going to be different this time around.

That said, with winter on its way, you’ll already be looking for great activities to try and keep yourself entertained after being cooped up at home for days on end.

At Avalanche Adventure, we’ve prepared a winter bucket list for 2020 (while keeping the restrictions in mind, of course!) to help you make the most of your time while helping you break the monotony.

We’ve covered all the bases for you meaning, all you’ve got to do is HAVE FUN!

1. Learn How to Bake Biscuits and Bread

Winter is perhaps the best season to spend some quality time with your family and what’s a better way to do that than learning how to bake bread or biscuits?

By indulging in this activity, you not only get to stay indoors in the toasty, warm atmosphere but also get to cook some delicious, homemade biscuits for your loved ones.

Why not look up some easy baking recipes online and whip up some lip-smacking winter-themed cakes?

2. Knit Yourself a Super Cosy Blanket

With the second lockdown in full swing, travel plans to someplace nice are likely to be postponed.

That said, why not learn how to knit yourself a super thick and cosy blanket? That way, you not only do away with all the time you have in hand but also ensure that you’ve got a nice, snuggly blanket to keep you warm.

3. Have an Outdoor Bonfire in Your Garden

If you’re looking for great activities to try this winter, then you can’t afford to miss out on an outdoor bonfire.

Although visiting a campsite is not an option at the moment, there’s no reason why you can’t have an outdoor bonfire in your garden. All that’s required is a mug full of hot chocolate and perhaps some skewers lined with tasty marshmallows.

Take things up a notch and carry warm blankets (probably the one knitted by you) to have an outdoor experience that’s both magical and cosy!

4. Go for a Long Run

While the second lockdown is in place, you could still step out of your home to get your daily dose of endorphins. As per the new government guidelines be sure to wear your mask and stay 2 meters apart, especially if you’re around people who aren’t from your household.

5. Host a Fun-Filled Game Night at Home

If you’re someone who prefers staying indoors during the colder months, then hosting a fun-filled game night with your family and friends (provided they’re a part of your support bubble) is something you should definitely try this winter.
